What is a rural holiday home rental?

Rural holiday homes are vacation properties available for short-term rental. The entire accommodation will be at your disposal during your stay, as if you had a second home.

Unlike hotels and bed & breakfasts, you will be independent and will need to do your own shopping, cleaning, and won't have access to hotel services.

However, each house is different and you won't feel like you're in a chain hotel, but in a new home with private common areas.

What should I bring for my week in the holiday home?

The holiday home is a furnished rental. Bring everything you need to live there: your personal belongings, of course, and your food (at least the essentials).

We always provide basic kitchen products such as oil, vinegar, salt, and pepper. Everything else should be brought with you or purchased locally.

The property is equipped; you'll find tools for cleaning, cooking, washing, etc...

Are there any additional charges?

Our rental price includes water, gas, electricity, and heating.

We also provide free WiFi internet connection.

Household linen and sheets are also provided

How does check-in and check-out work?

We will welcome you on site, show you around the property, provide any explanations you need, and give you the keys.

For departure, we will also be present to collect the keys and do the check-out inspection with you.

Check-in is generally from 4 PM and check-out before 10 AM. If you need special timing, contact us to arrange arrival and departure details.

Can I get a rental agreement?

Once you have booked, we will send you an email confirmation with:

  • a rental agreement
  • our rental terms and conditions
  • the accommodation description sheet
  • instructions for deposit payment and contract validation

In this confirmation email, you'll have a personal link that will allow you to find all information about your booking. We use "Gîte et Bien" services for our reservations, and these tools allow us to offer you booking tracking just like on major platforms such as AirBnb, Booking, or Gîtes de France.

A temporary hold is placed on the property while you validate the contract and send your deposit payment. The deadline is specified. Beyond that, the property will be made available again for the requested period.

Once the deposit is paid and the contract validated, you'll need to pay the balance 30 days before your arrival.

Sometimes, when the stay is approaching, we ask for the full payment of the stay or for the balance to be paid upon arrival.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Yes, we require a 30% deposit of the total booking amount to confirm your reservation.

When the stay is approaching, we might ask for the full payment as deposit or arrange with you to pay the balance on your arrival day.

What are the cancellation terms?

Once your booking is confirmed with the deposit payment, cancellation terms depend on how close you are to your stay dates. The earlier you cancel, the higher the refund since we'll have time to offer the accommodation to other clients. If you cancel shortly before the stay, we retain a portion of the booking amount.

Each booking is different and has its own cancellation terms. We invite you to consult our general terms and conditions at the bottom of this page or log into your booking space where the specific cancellation terms for your stay are indicated.

Can I take out cancellation insurance?

We don't offer cancellation insurance ourselves, but there are many insurance providers online offering this service. Go to Google and type "Cancellation Insurance," you'll find many options.

The most well-known is Europ Assistance, but there are many others. Be sure to compare, as the most expensive aren't necessarily the best.
